Epoxy enamel EP-140 is used for increasing water-, oil - and benzothioate pre-primed steel, magnesium, aluminum and titanium structures, which are exploited in all macroclimatic areas on land and at sea. Enamel silver color forms a heat-resistant coating that can withstand long-term temperatures up to 250°C and briefly up to 300°C, the enamel of other colors — up to 100-150°C.
Also used for chemical proof protection of products from copper and its alloys.
Enamel of all colors, except silver, are supplied in a set of two components: prefabricated matching color and hardener No. 2, silver color – in the form of three components: semi-finished enamel, hardener No. 4 and aluminum powder brands PAP-2.
After drying, the coating must be smooth, homogeneous, without foreign inclusions;
Drying time to degree 3:
at a temperature of 200C for no more than 6 hours;
at the temperature of 900C — no more than 2 hours;
Viscosity of semi-finished enamel according to viscosimeter VZ-246 — 13-19 seconds;
Theoretical coverage enamel with single-layer coverage: 110-130 g/m2.
The painted surface must be cleaned from mechanical impurities, water-soluble salts, greases and oils.
Enamel EP-140 all colors, except silver, are produced in the form of two components: semi-finished enamel of the corresponding color and hardener No. 2.
Components be mixed immediately before use, the proportion of hardener varies depending on the color of the semi-finished product:
Prepared for the application of enamel is applied by pneumatic spraying, by pouring or with a brush. The painting is done on a dry and degreased surface at ambient temperature and the substrate is from -30 º C to +40ºC.
